I came back to waiting tables for two and a half years before getting promoted to General Manager of the restaurant in February of 2020. Two weeks later is when COVID-19 hit worldwide and began to shut everything down. So my first task was to assist in keeping business flowing for our now 75 year old home in the wall restaurant. For two months I had us adapt and begin delivering food due to no dine in availability. As the year progressed I began to grow our social media account and advertise for the company as well as I could. My duties now include scheduling, payroll, handling cash flow from customers and for servers, cooking, dishwashing, serving, bussing, orders for food, paper products, drinks, and any other necessities for the restaurant, plus customer satisfaction, handling payments for bills, and much more to upkeep and run the entire restaurant. I enjoy the fast paced environment and customer service I get to be a part of day in and day out.

As the manager of the Wichita Falls Gun Show I managed the floor plan of vendors, handled all payments for booth rentals, assisted with register duties handling the flow of cash to and from the gate and gate change, and kept up with consumers entering and exiting throughout the weekend. Throughout the year I would keep up with and in contact with vendors about show dates, payments for booth rentals, and rearranging the floor plan to best fit the needs of vendors and the show in itself. During the five weekends a year we had shows, Friday was check in and setup day, while Saturday and Sunday were when the show was put on and open to the public. Not only did I deal with setting up and check ins for every vendor, I also accommodated their needs throughout the weekend while keeping up with consumer requests and the gate received upon entry.

I have been helping my grandfather Joe Tom White with this show since I was in high school. We hold five shows a year bringing in vendors for a two day show. It is held at the Wichita Falls MPEC (Multi-Purpose Events Center). We have setup on Friday for the vendors and allow customers to attend on Saturday and Sunday to buy, trade, or possibly even sell to some vendors. The shows are held in January, May, August, October, and December. Our show doesn't just have gun and knife vendors though. We have many other vendors that sell and trade all sorts of items, collectibles, and much more.

Assisted in distribution of beer to numerous places throughout Wichita Falls and surrounding cities. Also placed banners and other advertisements throughout stores to assist in sales for the company.

The restaurant I currently work for, Casa Mañana, is family owned and operated. I began working as a bus boy in for the first few months. Then I proceeded to work my way into waiting tables which I currently do now. A few months into starting, just as I began waiting tables, Casa had a devastating fire (June 18) that closed operation for a few months. So I was still employed at Casa but needed a way of income. So I worked at a BBQ restaurant. Even after Casa reopened I worked both jobs until the beginning of 2011 when I decided to work at Casa Mañana only. After about two years from starting I was asked to be an assistant manager and close the restaurant three nights out of the week and on any other dates the manager needed me to work. After doing that along with waiting tables on other days for about a year I asked to just wait tables only to focus on school. Several months after I took back on the responsibility of helping manage at least one night a week because of the need of an assistant manager again. So now I wait tables most days and manage on days I am asked.

I began working for Richard's BBQ when my other restaurant job was shut down for a couple months from a fire. Steve Petty hired me because of my love for this BBQ restaurant. I ate here all the time and was in need of a short term job. So I worked on helping prepare food, serve customers, and clean dishes at nights. A few months in my old job opened back up and I decided to work at both places. Shortly after that a new owner, Rusty Crick, bought the BBQ restaurant, changed the name to Iron Star BBQ and kept Steve and I as employees. I worked for him for several months before deciding to just work my one job at my family's restaurant. Under both managements of the BBQ restaurant we also did big catering orders weekly.

I assisted my boss Denise Williams with filing and sorting papers, and then helped to package, sort, and send out letters to students families for the school year. Any other side work she needed done I also did.

My boss Shannon Troester had me and fellow employees sort, box, scan, and haul books to all the schools in the district. We also broke down boxes, shrink wrapped pallets, did other work in the warehouse, and delivered any other necessities for schools related to the textbook department.
