As a Research and Evaluation Scientist, I bring extensive expertise in health communication and addiction research to my role at the Division on Addiction, Cambridge Health Alliance, and Harvard Medical School. My journey in this field began with a PhD in Communication, specializing in Health Communication from Purdue University. My research explores the intersections of media, health, and perception. Notably my research has examined the effectiveness of mental illness stigma-reduction interventions, health-related misinformation, and substance use behaviors.In my current role, I lead data management, analysis, and quality control, along with designing and implementing data collection instruments. I actively contribute to grant proposals and IRB applications, while mentoring a team of research support staff. My dedication to academic excellence is reflected in my extensive publication record comprising 15 peer-reviewed journal articles and a book chapter, alongside numerous conference presentations. I have been honored with several awards, including four Top Paper awards from academic conferences.Looking ahead, I aim to contribute to innovative research that addresses public health challenges, combining my quantitative expertise and deep understanding of communication strategies.
