Seth Olinsky is an American guitarist, singer, bandleader, songwriter, and composer who achieved international success as the guitarist, singer and founder of the rock band Akron/Family. He has released records on Young God Records, Dead Oceans/Secretly Canadian, Family Tree Records, and Lightning Records. He is well known for his multi-band orchestras Band Dialogue, and 40 drum performances, alongside his rock n roll musical moniker, Cy Dune. His large works have been performed at several festivals including Hopscotch Festival, Treefort Festival, Sled Island, and NYC’s Ecstatic / River to River Festival. Additionally, Seth has been one of three section leaders and conductors in Rhys Chatham's 200 and 100 Guitar Orchestra performed at Lincoln Center as well as abroad in UK. Alongside musician/conceptual artist Ali Beletic he co-founded Lightning Records and Magazine.
