About Seth Opeil

My decision to shift to a career in marketing was not some eye opening epiphany, but just a lunchroom conversation with a news anchor during my first job at a television station. Looking back, it was became critical advice due to the 2008 recession. With communications and media opportunities decreasing, marketing provided me the same outlet of creativity. Marketing introduced me to strategic planning, data analyzation, and creative execution sparked my love for the marketing field. Since that poignant conversation, I’ve been lucky enough to work in marketing for over a decade, helping businesses grow their customer base. I worked in marketing Evo Oil Sprayer from concept to mass production, which lead to my most professionally humbling moment, seeing Evo displayed with my packaging in Bed Bath and Beyond! I hit my career reset button in my Digital Acquisitions Manager role by learning digital advertising, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and social media marketing. These were worlds I never explored, but now they feel like home. At Otto’s BMW, I established more advanced and customized marketing strategies, which went against a general automotive industry belief of "plug-and-play" marketing solutions.In my decade plus of experience among several industries, I have approached marketing as the endless odyssey to improve businesses, adapt strategies, and evolve approaches. Those practices are not easy and can be frustrating, humbling, and even excruciating, but the easy path is not the most fulfilling or lucrative path.
