Over the years I have had a chance to flex my design skills in a variety of different projects while freelancing, including projects in print and digital, clients both big and small, non-profits and start-ups. I have created branding systems, illustrations, print layouts, acted as product and portrait photographer, created websites and anything else that comes my way. This is why I enjoy freelancing, having the ability to work across so many mediums, stretching and growing to adapt to any situation.

During my tenure at Metia, I worked closely with team members to create assets for clients across the gamut of digital (interactive websites, branding, presentations, illustrations, infographics) and print (posters, signage, invitations, infographics). From an initial concept to fully designed deliverables, I was there helping lead as well as take direction from clients as well as the team at large.

As a graphic designer at Sublime Media, I worked side-by-side with writers, developers, project managers and the rest of the design team to create interactive e-learning courses for a multitude of well known clients. Some clients I personally worked with include: Nike, T-Mobile, Microsoft, and JCrew. I was responsible for the design of e-learning courses, which includes UI design, animation concepts, interaction design and overall visual direction of any and all related courses and materials. Sublime Media is a fairly small start-up, so designers are able to work across a variety of mediums. I was at times creating presentation materials, doing basic animation with tools like AfterEffects and VideoScribe, editing audio and video, solving UX problems, creating the odd print piece, and even stood in as a photo model to round out my duties.

As a member of the small but extremely busy in-house design team at the Pacific Science Center I was able to be creative and put my work to good use in the non-profit sector. Balancing 10-20 projects that run the gamut of print and digital was the norm. Graphic designers are expected to manage each project and all its working parts.
