Quality control technician for carbon fiber builds and wiring harnesses. Inspect carbon fiber wings and fuselage assemblies per customer drawings and federal standards. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on all carbon fiber parts and assemblies. Train other quality technicians on how to inspect carbon products. Help investigate issues and the cause of the issue to correct it. Work with production techs to teach them why their part was nonconforming. Source inspections multiple times a week to verify parts being bought were conforming. Work directly with purchasing to get parts ordered and to see when parts were arriving. Work directly with sales to meet deadlines for the buyer. Work with sales to notify and track any parts that were nonconforming so we could request a use as is approval from the customer. Use computer system to track builds, in process inspections, final inspections, and all documentation for the build. Create C of Cs for products once they passed final inspection. Trained in IPC-620Inspect wire harness builds to customer drawings and federal standards. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on harnesses. Mechanically and electrically test harnesses. Create new test programs and harness adaptors to be able to test harnesses electrically. Build wiring harnesses per customer drawings and work instructions. Used sobering irons, torque wrenches, hand tools, and crimpers to complete builds.
