I am a former music teacher turned software developer/business analyst. You might be wondering what a person with a music education degree is doing in software development. I got my degree with aspirations of being the next great music teacher. However, as time went on, I began to realize that something was missing in my career.I have always been a life-long learner, fascinated by the world around me. I found that my teaching career did not allow me the time that to learn and grow in the variety of ways in which I desired. In software development, not only do I get to be creative and innovative, but I am constantly getting opportunities to learn and grow. I am proficient in numerous technologies such as Java, C++, Typescript/Javascript, React, React Native, Vue.js, Git, the Microsoft Power Platform Suite, SQL, Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL, Spring, SpringBoot, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Git. I also am intimately familiar with Agile methodologies, AWS Cloud Services, SCRUM, Business Analysis, Project Management, OOP, and RESTful API structures. Outside of work, my hobbies include rock climbing, brewing coffee, collecting whiskey, coding side projects, and playing music.
