Seth was appointed to the Practice Management Knowledge Community (PMKC) leadership because of his operation of a small architecture practice. He was the monthly newsletter editor for one year.

Bend's Community Center (BCC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which was founded in 1999. BCC fills a unique niche in the community in that it is both an events facility and a social service provider.Events Facility - BCC serves as a partner with many local nonprofits, clubs, agencies and organizations by providing a flexible and affordable location for trainings, workshops, conferences, classes and special events. We are also available to the public for weddings, receptions and private parties!Social Service Provider - BCC offers several programs that provide basic goods and services to at-risk low-income residents. These include running the largest food kitchen in Central Oregon, employment-related training to youth and adults, a used clothes baling operation and a diaper bank for infants and seniors.

Duties vary from project management and oversight, leading construction document creation and coordination of architectural team and multi-discipline consultant team to technical assistance for other project teams, construction administration, contracts and billing. Most Recent Project Experience: Managed multiple architectural teams on a $17 million build-to-suit facility for Bechtel National. Performed the role of Project Architect for the USDA Forest Service Deschutes National Forest administration facility currently in construction. Currently coordinating multiple A/E teams while working on an 89-acre commercial development project from initial master planning through the current first phase of design. Projects in design and construction include multi-story office building to be occupied by a DOE National Laboratory, and a new research laboratory building to be occupied by a state university. Project responsibilities also include providing direct oversight of the Street and Utility improvements for the first phase of the development.

Assist company owner with creation and implementation of office procedures, office management, marketing, mentorship of junior associates and interns, computer network management and oversight of contracted technical support.

Began as design professional assisting architectural staff with document production and detail creation. Developed role as CAD manager by refined and documenting the companies drafting standards and procedures. Created drafting routines, custom menus and organized the firms detail and CAD block libraries. Maintained computer network systems including the implementation of a new network file server. Worked into assisting Principal Architect with project management and consultant coordination and lead the creation of the construction documents.

Created class syllabus, lesson plans and hand outs for instruction of basic AutoCAD drafting skills. Taught 18 students per semester the basics of the program. Duties included grading assignments and evaluating student performance. Recommended final grades.
