Aviv Kochavi, IDF Chief of the General Staff in February 2019 and April 2021.The Israeli government is responsible for training IDF soldiers and providing them with the necessary tools for their service. In addition, I am charged with recruiting elite athletes for participation in the World Maccabiah Games, this includes negotiating contracts, appearance fees and all logistics regarding athlete’s participation at the World Maccabiah Games.
