QT was "one of the world leaders in approved CDM methodologies", according to Carbon Finance magazine. QT's assets were bought by Climate Change Capital in April, 2007. QT specialized in helping companies get through the complex Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) process, generating carbon credits in the international emissions trading markets. QT wrote more than 10 approved methodologies, one of the best track records in the industry. QT has developed projects that are reducing million of tons of GHG emissions every year. The methodologies written by QT are reducing many tens of million of tons/year all around the world, making a major impact on the carbon market. Some of its work has been precedent-setting, such as the first SF6 methodology and the first fugitive methane reduction methodology under CDM.

Started and developed the Alliance's International Program, which soon became a global energy efficiency initiative, active in 20 countries. We focused on improving energy efficiency in district heating systems, municipal water companies and industrial facilities. Managed a $4 million USAID program focusing on city energy management in Eastern Europe/Former Soviet Union. Directly managed staff of 18 people in seven countries and contractors in ten other countries. Designed workplans targeting improvements in municipal infrastructure – from financing for district heating/water systems to weatherizing schools and hospitals. Also led team to develop a $10 million district heating efficiency project in the City of Kaliningrad, Russia.On water efficiency, led training for local governments on water management, including leak detection, pump/motor efficiency and load shifting. The Alliance’s program in Bosnia saved about 1 billion liters of water per year. Simple improvements also helped a South African city reduce water use city-wide by 12%, leading to one of the first third-party financing arrangements for water-loss reduction in the country.
