As the technical lead for the Alaska Tax Revenue Management System Project, I was responsible for owning, developing, testing, training and managing multiple subsystems, including security, imaging, data warehouse, mail, design control, discovery and analytics. This included test-driven development, requirement gathering, design sessions, demonstrations, user interface design and more. I worked with two to four subordinates, depending on the subsystem design and did most of the more-complex development as well as documentation, verification, troubleshooting and gaining approval from the client throughout every step of system development. I maintained over 60 databases, six servers and 12 paper modification devices including high volume printers, envelope openers, sorters and stuffers. My responsibilities included:• Provide technical representation, system design, regulatory software design documentation and leadership on the project and to the team from definition to delivery at a peer level with the design project architect• Support Project Management in the definition and technical validation of delivery schedules and plans• Lead a small team of developers and client staff, providing technical instructions to ensure implementation is correct and working with or acting as Iteration Manager to ensure ongoing review of design software delivery plans• Work collaboratively to ensure consistent and regular reviews of progress and software releases including escalation of any risks or deviations from the plan with recommendations and mitigation strategies, as appropriate• Manage purchasing, hardware specification procurement • SCADA & PLC programming for enveloping systems• Develop schematic drawings in accordance with specification• Disaster recovery planning and implementation • Setup, design, configuration and maintenance of n-tier environments including: Application, Web, DB servers• Production optimization & application troubleshooting
