Designed and developed consumer-facing ecommerce websites for a variety of clients using a variety of coding stacks, including Ruby on Rails, PHP, React, React Native, and JavaScript. Database management included MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Heroku with TLS/SSL certification to allow credit/debit purchasing. Created custom 3D rendering of a visual carousel in JavaScript.

Created the concept, developed, and designed a tournament management web based application with a social network backbone. Lead a team focusing on the user experience and ensured that our usability could scale to a million users built on a Ruby on Rails back-end specification. Collaborated with in-house and outsource development team. Contributed to development of a mobile platform. Ticketing was through Assembla, then Jira and prototyped using Protoshare. Created and coded a jQuery/HTML5 video game using a tournament scoring/bracketing API as part of this service's concept.

Returned to Blizzard as an In-Game Customer Support Administrator for the massively multiplayer online computer game, World of Warcraft. Designed internal system used to prevent account compromise that reduced queue wait times by 500% during a period where customer response times had increased dramatically in 2009-2010. Some of my contributions were critical in reducing customer handle times to maximum support throughput. Was also assigned to act as a subject matter expert for the internal information department to help improve communication about products and services. Received recognition from management including an award for contact resolution.

Developed and implemented primary website portal for the newspaper publisher. Collaborated with department heads for structure and features. This included ISP setup, content management and web application installation (hutchnews.com). Modernized and improved the user experience. Site developed in PHP. Worked with art department for all art assets and assistance with design layout and presentation. Kept costs minimal with emphasis on providing the most robust user experience while maintaining focus on accessibility.

Account Administrator for the “Hacks Department” where I created and developed an application to help the Account Administration Department to identify bots pretending to be players within the World of Warcraft and several other community integrity functions. This software was credited with increasing productivity within the Customer Service Department by over 450%. Also served as In-Game Support “Game Master”. Communication services were provided in game chat within the World of Warcraft game client customer side and through an internal software program. Responded to customer generated tickets using a queue system and would engage conversations through chat. Earned several awards and recognition for going beyond expectations in areas of quality and expertise. Promoted after achieving full-time status to the Hacks Department. The new position involved maintaining the internal Wiki and investigating accounts affecting the in-game economy or rules violations and penalizing when necessary.
