Developed community and student leadership to oppose proposed coal, nuclear, and biomass-fired power plants and promote clean energy solutions in Georgia and South Carolina. Worked with local student and youth on leadership and organizational development on a wide-range of issues; from gender and racial equity to environmental justice and climate change solutions.Coalition building to stop 3 new proposed coal plant projects in Georgia and South Carolina Organized 6 state-wide youth conferences with over 600 youth attending. Organized regional conferences, and trained over 500 students and community members on basic to intermediate organizing and communications skills at local workshops.Recruited over 400 youth to national lobby day. Consistently managed 10-25 volunteer leaders a week. Facilitated student and community meetings with elected officials at local, state, and federal levels. Facilitated campaign planning and implementation of multiple state- wide, community, and campus energy campaigns. Generated media coverage of events and campaigns on local/state television, print, and radio media, CNN, and national web-based media outlets. Created and maintained campaign based websites, videos, graphics, and blogs.

Summer 2006 and Summer 2007Coordinated Travel and Assisted 10-13 Student Research Projects in Q'eqchi and Mopan Maya territories in Southern Belize and Southwestern Guatemala.Conducted research on the impact of western education models on the cultural psychology, environment, and economy among southern Belizian Mayans. Trail restoration and anti-oil development community organizing training assistance in Southern Belize and Southwestern Guatemala
