Law school doesn’t just teach you about the law. It also teaches you to never give up. While it was probably the hardest thing I ever did, the lessons I learned there are why I can stand up for clients at some of the hardest times of their lives. I have ten years of experience in the courts of Iowa standing up for people’s rights. I represent people who are facing divorce, jail, and other problems.On the side, I teach aspiring public servants about the law, the nuances of law enforcement and criminal procedure. This position requires not only detailed knowledge of the law, but of its practical application on the street. Previously, I was a prosecuting attorney. I worked closely with law enforcement, the Department of Human Services and other agencies. I also handled the child abuse cases and worked with victims. I have a lot of experience working with child victims of physical and sexual abuse.
