I founded a nonprofit media company with my father in 2006. We have documentary projects in the works that cover topics from different regions, including Cambodia and Israel. We also want to help churches develop their web presence and 21st century marketing strategy.

As the media relations manager, my responsibilities included public relations, project management, website maintenance, graphic design, Facebook advertising management, establishing a social media presence, copywriting and student worker schedule and budget management. As a member of the marketing department, I worked with a variety of clients within the institution, helping to improve message clarity and consistency both internally and externally.

My original position title at Concordia was communication specialist, which involved public relations, copywriting, and website updates. As I gained experience, I gained responsibility. Before receiving my title promotion, I had the opportunity to lead the creation of the university’s marketing campaign from concept to implementation. Working closely with the graphic designer, I was involved in creative direction and project management.
