Main responsibilities: suspension and systems design. • Supported machine shop and component fab departments with tooling / fixtures and design-for-manufacturability studies. - Transferred from Reynard Motorsport - • Oversaw technical operations of wind tunnel test facility and its personnel, including directly managing a staff of seven design engineers.• Designed several new test vehicles (and many development parts) from the ground up, which were modeled and assembled in Pro/E Wildfire and Solidworks 2003.Ran several successful wind tunnel test programs to design, develop, and test performance enhancing aerodynamic aids for CART and NASCAR series racing cars for the 1999 thru the 2003 racing seasons.Provided track support at test sessions to determine the effectiveness of parts developed in the wind tunnel.• Programmed, operated, and maintained two FDM rapid prototyping machines. • Utilized FARO 3D Laser Scan Arm / CMM for inspection and reverse engineering.• Wrote software to communicate with wind tunnel control system and to reduce and present the data during test sessions.• Expanded customer base into several new markets.• Designed and implemented upgrades for the mechanical systems of the wind tunnel for continuous improvement to the facility.• Administrated multi-platform engineering computer network.
