Seth is a shareholder in the Firm's Tax Group, focusing his practice in the areas of tax controversy and tax compliance matters. He heads the Firm's Tax Controversy Subgroup, leading a team of more than 20 attorneys who spend a significant part of their practice in this area.His practice involves advising and defending his clients in tax-related issues, including income taxes, employment taxes, sales and use taxes, excise taxes, Trust Fund Recovery Penalties, wage and bank levies, tax liens, penalty abatements, offers-in-compromise and installment agreements. In addition, Seth spends a significant amount of his time providing legal counsel to both domestic and non-U.S. based clients in various voluntary compliance programs. He is experienced with examination, appellate and collection-related matters. Seth represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.Seth is also a licensed certified public accountant and prior to his legal career, he was a member of the tax practice of a national accounting firm. He continues to be the 'go-to' person for many accountants and accounting firms when they are looking to bring in outside counsel to assist on their clients' complex cases.
