A passionate, self-motivated individual with years of experience in the hospitality industry, Entertainment, and political communication focusing on the LGBTQIA+ community. I am currently in a fun-filled and fulfilling career as a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida with experience as a Operations Coordinator in both Entertainment and Merchandise, Company Trainer, Disney VIP Tour Guide, Attractions, and Food and Beverage. In 2019, I was awarded the Walt Disney Legacy Award, an award that is received by only 1% of employees throughout the entire Walt Disney Company. As the highest honor given by our Company, I was awarded this honor by nomination of my Leaders and fellow peers for my work in creating a more inclusive and open work environment where everyone feels valued, included, and cared for.Prior to working for The Walt Disney Company, I was the first ever downstate intern for The Civil Rights Agenda in Illinois. "The Civil Rights Agenda is a civil rights advocacy organization founded in June 2010 by Jacob Meister, with a stated mission "to maintain and increase individual rights for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) citizens in Illinois through inter-generational volunteerism and community-driven project-based education, statewide coalition and network building, and leadership in supporting underserved communities with the necessary tools that will equip members of those communities with the resources and confidence to establish equality for all persons, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity". I worked on the frontlines of Illinois marriage equality, comprehensive sexual health education in high schools, and trans rights initiatives. I worked primarily on their Political Communications with press releases, copywriting, social media, the organization's newsletter, policy updates, statements from the organization, and organization identity.
