Led the engineering team, including team hiring and coaching, architecture, engineering processes, platform and data provider relationships, operations, and customer support. Built significant pieces of the product in my hands-on engineering time, including the core data ingestion.

Led the company’s software engineering team of approximately 30 people, across 4 sites, in a top-to-bottom overhaul of the company’s smart energy platform. Took what had been four separate groups with four separate codebases (via acquisitions) into a unified team and a go-forward product suite for the company. Achieved 10-100x performance increase on key.

Co-founded company, and led product design and engineering effort for product that provides data logging and smart charging services for plug-in vehicles. Built product that brought in revenue within a year, and led to successful sale of company within two years at 15x invested capital.

Led software and hardware engineering teams designing and delivering non-volatile memory silicon IP products.

Redmond, Washington, US

Creator of Active Server Pages (ASP), one of the first broadly successful web application platforms. Designed the ASP product, and led delivery of the first three versions. Other areas of work at Microsoft included IIS web server core execution architecture, and, earlier, work on advanced operating systems.
