The core of my educational background focused on the development of thin polymeric film coatings for porous supports such as membranes and textiles. These coatings were tailored for catalytic activity or to control surface properties such as roughness and wetting. I also maintain a base of experience in the use of multivariate statistical procedures to analyze elemental compositions of gun shot residue resulting from energy dispersive x-ray analysis of forensic samples. In my current role I serve as the manager of our micro-CT evaluation laboratory responsible for completing evaluation testing in support of instrument sales along with paid services testing for clients from across the United States. We serve clients in industries from academic research, to industry, to government laboratories in fields ranging from structural biology, odentology, materials science, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Previously, my work entailed the extraction and analysis of analytes from biological matrices for clinical and forensic toxicology testing as well as expert testimony in civil and criminal proceedings. I regularly utilized, maintained, and troubleshot gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers. Before that, my work focused on the use of rapid prototyping tools and techniques to enable efficient product and packaging development for innovative growth within the PepsiCo global innovation platform. Specialties: Micro-computed Tomography, Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Expert Testimony, Additive Manufacturing, Stratasys Printer Operation and Repair, Product and Packaging Development, Barrier Materials, SpaceClaim CAD, Laser Scanning, Modification of Surfaces using Layer-by-layer Deposition of Polyelectrolytes and Self Assembled Monolayers, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy of Nanoparticles, Catalytic Membranes, Membrane Distillation, Superhydrophobic Surface Coatings.
