Dynamic leader with proven record of multi-industry value creation spanning a uniquely diverse 30-year business and legal career, including a rare combination of public company executive officer, federal government, and private law firm experience, culminating in leading the innovative aesthetics start-up he co-founded from inception to successful multinational acquisition.With a portfolio of responsibility including global technology curation, product development, R&D, IP, and medical and regulatory affairs, Seth was instrumental in architecting Skinbetter Science’s acclaimed open-innovation biotech business model, which established the company within six years as the fastest growing and second largest brand in physician-dispensed skincare. As Skinbetter’s Managing Partner, he led the company’s 2022 sale to L’Oréal, where he now also serves as worldwide strategic advisor to the L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division on new technology pipeline and related business development opportunities for Skinbetter and other LDB brands.In addition, Seth served as President of The Skinbetter Science Institute, where he was instrumental in drafting and publishing the Project AesCert Guidance, a set of consensus infectious disease and health policy principles informing the post-pandemic operation of aesthetics practices; and developing The DREAM Initiative ("Driving Racial Equity in Aesthetic Medicine"), to promote industry-wide diversity and inclusion through The National Racial Equity Curriculum for dermatology residents, The Spectrum of Dermatologic Disease photo atlas textbook, and the Forces of Beauty Summits between the medical specialties and beauty media.Prior to Skinbetter, Seth served as EVP, Chief Legal Officer for an NYSE-listed pharmaceutical company, where he guided the organization through multiple FDA product approvals and launches, the largest asset acquisition in its history, recognition in consecutive years as the only pharma industry member on Ethisphere's World's Most Ethical Companies list, and ultimately its multi-billion dollar exit. Before that, he served as a DOJ federal prosecutor at "Main Justice" in Washington, D.C., specializing in international cartel antitrust enforcement; and a law firm equity partner focused on nationwide white collar defense, agency proceedings and board counseling in healthcare, life sciences and other regulated industries. Consistent across all these varied platforms has been a passion for pragmatically synthesizing business judgment with legal insights to drive performance, solve problems and help others.
