The Resilience Shift exists to inspire and empower a global community to make the world safer through resilient infrastructure. More people than ever depend on the critical infrastructure systems that provide essential energy, water, transport and communications services, and underpin food, healthcare and education. When this infrastructure fails the consequences can be catastrophic.

Projections is a creative studio that brings together policy, science and culture to mobilize new audiences around global challenges. It was co-founded along with Ian Klaus.

The Museum for the United Nations - UN Live is a new and visionary global museum.Our mission is to connect people everywhere to the work and values of the United Nations, and to dramatically increase the number of people who help achieve its goals.

Building off of work with the IPCC, C40 and other organizations around the world, I worked with GCoM to develop and deliver a space-race-era mobilization of research and innovation on cities and climate change. This was done through the first-of-its-kind, cities focused, research and innovation agenda launched as the #Innovate4Cities initiative at the One Planet Summit. Developed key partnerships with Mission Innovation, Student Energy, SDSN and the American Society for Civil Engineering.

Helped establish the Streets for All Coalition as an organization dedicated to radically rethinking urban transportation. We need bold, unapologetic advancement of a new mobility model that puts the health, access and safety of people first. Alternative transportation advocates, sustainable transit providers and climate activists are all using their collective expertise to ensure that we don’t waste this moment in time and help cities maximize the benefits of bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters in their communities.

Oversaw the operations of C40's NYC Office and was responsible for the overarching research agenda that reflects cities priorities and ensures organizational strategic effectiveness in reducing carbon emissions in C40 cities around the world. Focused on deepening the evidence base C40 created in showing the critical importance of city action to reduce emissions and adapt to changing climates. Support the strategic direction and implementation pathways of C40 to drive innovation, data analysis, tools and visualization.

Director of Science & Innovation at C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, a one year, special assignment from my permanent post as C40’s Director of Research, Measurement & Planning. I served as a Lead Author on the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) Special Report on 1.5 Degrees (SR 1.5) in 2017, and more broadly, worked to raise international awareness on the role of cities in tackling climate change. I also served as a Co-Chair of the Scientific Steering Committee for the Cities and Climate Science Conference that was heald in Edmonton in 2018 in collaboration with the IPCC.

I oversaw all facets of this program - technical development, communications, branding and implementation. Led a diverse team on implementation and worked to ensure its succesful integration into the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. Was part of a senior management team within the Clinton Climate Initiative on strategy, funding and implementation.

I oversaw the creation and development of The Climate Positive Development Program which was designed to meet the dual challenge of rapid urban growth and climate change by setting a new global benchmark for leadership in large-scale urban development. Launched by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in partnership with the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), the program supports the development of large-scale urban projects that will demonstrate that cities can grow in ways that are “climate positive,” striving to reduce the amount of project related CO2 emissions to below zero. I managed this joint venture between the two organizations and led a team to develop this new standard and drive its implementation in a diverse set of global projects around the world. The Climate+ Program includes seventeen participating projects in 10 countries on six continents.

I worked at the Willgoos Experimental Jet Laboratory in the Environmental Health & Safety Department. I helped develop a new system called Point of Generation (POG) to capture contaminants where they were generated in the lab. I also helped develop a multi-million dollar ground water extraction and treatment system (GETS) on site to treat ground water that had been contaminated with jet fuel.
