My role is to be an expert on the wide range of hardware and software products that are developed and wholesaled by Integrated Control Technology (see www.ict.co for more information on these products). This challenging role requires me to combine superb communication skills with technical knowledge and an ability to keep abreast with all of the new products created by our prolific Research and Development team.In this role:- I provide technical advice and support to our direct customers.- I support our international network of distributors when they escalate technical queries to us.- I test our products and replicate any scenario where the client reports a problem with one of our products.- If the problem proves to be genuine, I work closely with our Research and Development team to ensure the issue is resolved.

I am implementing a web service to connect Presco Hire's inventory to their new website (soon to go live). Upon completion, this project will enable Presco Hire's customers to order products and view their invoices online. I'm also involved in creating a Presco Hire app for Android, and researching effective solutions to analyse Presco Hire's network traffic.

- Created many pages of a fantasy sport website using HTML/CSS/JavaScript (including some jQuery).- Created a Virtual LAN to route IP packets between a Demilitarized Zone, Internal Networksand the external internet.- Implemented a console app (with C# .NET) that took JSON files, or URLs of JSON files in theOData protocol, as input. The purpose of the app was to convert the files to XML, then sortand join elements of the files.- MySQL case study: airline database. Wrote numerous queries to manipulate a database whichstored aircraft, staff, passengers, routes and other airline-related data.- Created a C# .NET application which converted Excel, SQL Compact, or FileDB (a NoSQLdatabase engine) into JSON.- Built an application which hired, fired and updated details of employees stored in a SQL databaseusing C# .NET with LINQ and EntityFramework.- Image processing in the ImageJ macro language.- Assembly programming with the MIPS instruction set.- Used a java.awt and javax.swing to implement a GUI app that generated random moving shapes(could be used for a screen saver).- Implemented a group chat console app using socket programming with Java.

- HCI Project: Designed a fantasy sport website prototype to allow users to communicate andform teams, working with three other individuals.- Implemented an application (in the C programming language) to store data in Red-Black trees,or in Flexible arrays (according to the user's choice) with two other individuals.- Programmed NXT robots to detect floor colour (black or white) in nearly all lighting levels, andrealign itself when it deviated from its course. The robot's goal was to reach a finishing tilelocated on the floor, and I worked with one other individual.- Involved in numerous musical or dramatic productions which required substantial team co-operation.

- Implemented a GUI app to help those learning to speak English, using Python's Tkinter package. A simple app created at the request of a client.- Wrote functional programs with input/output in order to teach myself the Haskell programminglanguage.
