About Seth Hawkins
I’ve spent my career creating and managing places, spaces, and experiences that educate, awe, and inspire. In the process I've set up operations, launched new products and initiatives, organized events, and built buildings in some of the most challenging locations and circumstances around the world. Are you looking to build something that really makes a statement? Do you have a space you'd like your in-person customers, guests, or employees to experience in a new way? Perhaps you're expanding and want to keep your brand intact across culture and language. That's what I do.Since 2022 I've been part of the Public Sector team at Turner & Townsend Heery, a CBRE company. In my role as Senior Project Manager, I leverage my experience designing and building education and visitor facilities to manage construction bond program work for Houston-area school districts.Prior to this I was the Director of the National Discovery Center at American Prairie, where, over a two-and-a-half-year period I oversaw the development of messaging, building design, and construction/renovation of a 120 year old historic mercantile into a new interpretive center. In 2022 the project was awarded the national NAI Interpretive Media Award.Early in my career I supervised a group of 16 international education and training centers. We revamped and streamlined their operating structure, then I oversaw the design, construction, and staffing of a new 120,000 square foot facility in Ghana. Later we built others in South Africa and the Philippines. After that for fourteen years I managed all planning, new construction, remodeling, and maintenance for a group of 30 visitor centers and historic sites worldwide. One of these sites was ranked by Trip Advisor the #4 place to visit in San Diego, ahead of Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, and another was the #1 rated site in northeast Pennsylvania.Outdoor theatrical productions and open house events I've worked on have generated over 1 million visitors in a single year. I also oversaw the development of marketing plans and materials for these sites and events, including social media.Overall I’ve managed projects and operations in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Pacific, most of Latin America, and many parts of the U.S. I'm a detail-oriented strategic thinker, tenacious yet adaptable, bold yet diplomatic, the "most productive employee in the department", whose contributions "saved the project".When not working I enjoy architecture, sports, and volunteering on community development initiatives. I speak fluent Spanish. How can I help you today?

Senior Airman
In January 2003 I responded to the call to serve my country in the First Iraq War. I took a leave of absence from my full-time job, left my wife with four children at home, and traveled to San Antonio, Texas for Air Force Basic Training. I was the oldest recruit in my class.During Basic Training I was named Squad Leader and consistently placed 1st or 2nd in most physical fitness tests. I also contracted bronchitis and other conditions that interrupted my course of study. While recuperating I was named Flight Leader and asked to oversee 65 other Airmen awaiting reassignment. Although still sick myself, I paced and trained several other Airmen to help them pass their physical fitness tests and return to training. My service in the Air Force doesn't officially count - when after three months I couldn't be fully cleared medically, I was discharged and sent home as if I had never been there. In my heart, however, I know that, even for a short period of time, I stood in the uniform of my country, willing to fight and die for her freedom.
