Duties:- Hands on experience of working on IBM P-series systems P570, P595, P770, P780 and E880- Implementation and administration of IBM AIX Operating System (Ver 5.3, 6.1 and 7.1)- Virtualization – Plan, create and configure virtual servers on both managed system and IBM Power Blades- NIM server administration – OS installation, restore and backups (Dev, QA, PreProd and Production environments)- Hands-on troubleshooting experience on server performance to identify resource bottleneck- Creating Samba servers to allow connection between Windows clients and AIX systems- Device Management: adding, changing and configuring physical and logical devices- User administration: creating user accounts, granting appropriate access - LVM tasks: adding, replacing disks on the system, creating volume groups; extend/reduce volume groups as per user requirement- Experience on IBM Spectrum Scale Administration (IBM GPFS)- Develop and maintain basic shell scripts for automation, backup and monitoring- Perform monthly update of the Disaster Recovery (DR) documentation- Participate on a quarterly Disaster Recovery exercises (platform & Full DR test) to ensure Recovery Time Objective (RTO)- Providing a 24X7 standby support on mission critical systems in adherence to the business SLA- Ensure fault reporting and resolution with IBM- Reporting (Incident & Change Management)- Basic IBM DB2 administration - Basic IBM TSM administration- Basic Linux administration (SLES)- Provide mentorship to AIX graduates
