Supported development of continuous process of isotropic pitch manufacturing for Activated Carbon Fiber (ACF) application – led development of the continuous pretreatment process of isotropic pitch synthesis at lab scale and bench scale and developed the pilot scale process.3. Carried out two national R&D projects (respective budget of $7 M and $17.7M): assisted the management of ACF pilot plant construction (30 ton/yr).4. Worked as a lab organizer‐ in charge of lab management (set up two labs), lab EHS, equipment quality control (QC), and Standard Of Procedure (SOP) for characterization. -Advanced Anode Materials Team, R&D Center [Dec.2011-Dec.2013]1. Researched carbon materials (porous carbon, soft carbon, hard carbon, graphite, graphene, carbon nanotube) for EDLC and for LiB applications - developed a new soft carbon for LiBs in lab and pilot scale.2. Supported optimization of the manufacturing plant (600ton/yr); Power Carbon Technology Corporation (PCT) - managed a QC laboratory and established SOP of characterization tools for stable product quality control.3. Assisted customer technology inquiries and sales tasks - main customers were LG Chem and Samsung SDI (world top players), and was responsible for planning production of products, battery cell tests, material characterization, technical reports. 4. Carried out two national R&D projects (respective budget of $3.8M and $1.4M)- involved in the development of a higher capacity soft carbon.
