About Seungjae Lee

I am strong at the partnership with the external partners and at the initiation..My first speciality was started with Video Conferencing system in the client and the server side. Based on this skill, I worked in the Korean branch of Global IP Solutions(aka GIPS) that had the biggest market share for the Voice over IP / Video over IP media engine. At that time, all Korean carriers(SKT, KT, and LG U+) used the GIPS media engine, so people in that industry told I unified three kingdoms.After I moved to Google, I have been working with Android TV/Google TV since 2013 when Google initially introduced Android TV to partners. At that time, Android TV was not welcomed for partners including TV operators, manufacturers, and S.I. vendors because of strict policy, higher hardware requirement, and, not smooth sunset process for old Google TV based on Android 4.x.I put my effort to what the benefits for the end users were, how we could find the mid points between Google's policy and partners requests, what future could come with Android TV. I could pile concrete trust with partners; as a result, now all major Korean IPTV/Cable/Satellite TV operators are using Android TV(another unification), and Android TV becomes the most popular TV platform for TV operators worldwide.With this, I could have many experiences for 1st milestones in the Android TV history.
