Sahara Bulk Storage Facilities Limited Expanded the combined storage capacity of the company by 30% - 19,000MT Jet Fuel and 26,000MT Gasoline Terminals - to meet growing demands in Nigeria and Ghana. Costs: $0.3M - $3.5M Increased the flexibility of the terminals to store variety of products and strengthened the Group’s market share through the expansion of the storage business in Nigeria and Ghana. Increased revenue, improved service to new and existing customers, reduced operational costs and improved cash flow through improved capacity utilization of the terminals. Achieved zero loss time to injuries in 768hours by developing/approving and ensuring strict implementation of safe execution methodologies and commission procedures. Achieved the delivery of safe, reliable, and operational facilities by leading Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) to identify operational and constructability hazards, mitigate such hazards, and ensured compliance with drawings, applicable standards, specifications, and statutory requirements. Successfully completed detailed engineering design and first phase construction of a 72,700MT Petroleum Storage Terminal for new entry into the Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire market. Budget - $ 45M. Improved revenue and geographical expansion through the acquisition of terminals in Africa by carrying out detailed assessment and reports for the acquisition of terminals.  Achieved 100% retention of all petroleum licenses and permits through the application of local and international engineering standards and codes of practice.  Encouraged knowledge transfer and enhancement of staff functional competencies through the conduct of Lessons Learned sessions to ensure successful delivery of subsequent projects.
