A three months internship turned into working 9 months as AI Developer in AI Sweden. The mission of AI Sweden is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of the society. This environment allowed me to discover the AI and NLP landscape in Sweden. During this period, I worked on gathering language data to train a nordic Language Model.

In the summer of 2020, I had the opportunity to do a one-month internship at Torfs. During this internship, I had the chance to get to know the logistic operations of the distribution centre. I mainly followed the functional analyst. We researched methods to improve the logistic processes and their influence on the operating system. At last, I wanted to add that I will never forget the work spirit and the way that everyone aims for one goal in this company.

Gulu, Uganda

During this project, I constructed together with two other students a solar pump in northern Uganda (Gulu). Humasol gave us the opportunity to complete a project from start to finish. This period can be divided into two big stages. The first was a year of proper preparation. Humasol gave us the opportunity to complete a project from start to finish. This period can be divided into two big stages. The first was a year of proper preparation. During this year we learned: to dimension a water pump and solar panels, to design a basic water test kit to define the water quality of water sources and to develop a simple financial plan to make the installation self-sustainable.The second experience was the adventure on the spot, in the beautiful city of Gulu and the small village Burkwoyo, where we installed the pump. This experience taught us to handle sudden challenges during the project. But it also offered us a chance to get to know the local culture during a two months stay in two host families. This project was realised in cooperation with NUV-HOP, a development project providing medical care to rural communities in Northern-Uganda.
