Currently enrolled in the Health Care Administration and Service Management Program at Conestoga College in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, where I am expanding my knowledge and skills in healthcare management. I served as a medical officer in the blood bank (transfusion medicine laboratory) at the teaching hospital in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Here, I honed my laboratory skills, conducting essential lab tests such as Grouping Tests, Antibody Screening, Compatibility Tests, Lewis Panel Tests, and DAT Tests. A significant part of my role involved ensuring a safe laboratory environment. I handled lab equipment with utmost care, adhered to lab safety procedures, and meticulously labeled laboratory-related equipment and specimens. These practices ensured comprehensive analysis of blood samples and effective patient care. In addition to conducting tests, I managed blood donor reactions, led donor outreach initiatives, and demonstrated expertise in emergency care handling, particularly contributing O-negative blood for urgent cases.In addition to my extensive laboratory experience, I have also worked in Gynecology and Obstetrics, where I diagnosed and treated conditions that affect women, managed expecting mothers, and provided postpartum care for new mothers. My experience in Pediatrics involved conducting physical examinations of infants and children, administering vaccinations, and responding to pediatric emergencies. My mission is to provide excellent healthcare service with a focus on transfusion medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and obstetrics. I am driven by my passion for continuous learning and improvement in my field. I look forward to bringing my unique blend of skills and experience to a challenging and rewarding role in healthcare administration and service management.
