. Planned and managed various global production system upgrades, mainly the backend Oracle databases . Managing the production HP-UX cluster - host to the main Production Database, the V880 Sun System - host to the Reporting Logging Database, and the heterogeneous Relay system components based on Linux and Windows 2000 and managed a multi terabyte HP- XP-512 Storage system. Performance and Capacity management on the databases and host systems, recommended and implemented solutions and produced reports both internal and to third parties regarding system performances and reviews. Liasing with major vendors such as HP, Oracle and Sun as a first point of contact for the Blackberry’s European Head Quarters on the issues of Hardware Orders, review latest hardware and software products . Managing the Production, Logging and Provisioning databases, organised site visits and licence renewals.. Wrote Scripts Reporting and Provisioning Billing systems respectively. Provided third-line system support on a fortnight based On-Call rota and built a complete Production, Pre-production, Staging and Test Environment and Databases (8i,9i,10g) on Sun Solaris and on Linux which is used as pre-deployment system. Trained Project Managers, Network Operators and newly employed Engineers on the Relay System Architecture – The Main E-mail Management Solution for the Blackberry . Helped in planning and migration of over 20+ Telecom Operators from an interim to a newly deployed XML Web-Based solution. Helped in interviewing and recruiting a number of System Engineers and Network Operation Centre System Administrators. Helped in major negotiation of Licence renewals with the third party partners and managing role as a team leaderof BB Engineers as well as introduced and carried out various presentations on the Blackberry Solutions and System Components
