As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard University, I have been conducting impactful translational research on metabolic disease, obesity, diabetes, and inflammation for over seven years. I have a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UMass Chan Medical School, where I studied the molecular mechanisms of insulin resistance and muscle metabolism. I have extensively worked with liver, muscle, adipose, bone and and heart tissues in the last 17 years.I have extensive experience in in vivo and in vitro research, including working at a National mouse metabolic phenotyping core lab, developing assays, and creating transgenic mice with CRISPR, working with immortalized, primary cell lines. I have also been teaching at Harvard University GSAS and mentoring students and research assistants, and writing scientific papers and grants. I am a critical thinker, a problem-solver, and a team player, with strong communication and leadership skills. My goal is to advance the understanding and treatment of metabolic disorders and improve human health.
