Hi I'm Seán, I'm currently working as a Senior Software Consultant for capSpire in Cork and I'm fascinated with all things technology. Below is a small bit about my journey. Over several years I completed a diploma in financial advice, a degree in English and History & a MA in Journalism and Digital Media only to find my true passion in IT. Graduating with a first class honours MSc in Computer Science and Interactive Media and having developed a wide range of skills over 5 years in the front line financial industry. I further refinied my skill set with a technology focus as part of the AIB Technology Graduate Programme. I worked as part of the Innovation team, with a specific focus on software engineering and development. I've helped deliver solutions across different teams and projects with my team. My love of software development pushed me to be innovative and to develop creative solutions for a wide range of projects. I made a move into more delivery focused development when I switched roles by joining 8 West Consulting. Here I was part of a team with a focus on continuous integration for a bid management system. I developed skills in Dev ops, communication and consulting. In March 2020 I switched roles to take up a position with capSpire LTD. An internationally recognised consultancy firm in the CTRM space and commodity advisory space. In January 2022 I changes roles within capSpire, to a Senior Consulting role. This has come with added responsibility as well as the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues. My goal is to pursue further opportunities in software engineering and development.
