InternshipMy role as an accounts assistant was to prepare the year end accounts of the clients. Once completed they were forwarded to the firm’s accountants for further review. I gained considerable experience in basic book keeping procedures. I had to liaise with my fellow colleagues and the accountants on an ongoing basis whilst delegating our tasks. I gained an understanding of taxation and payroll. My work involved analyzing the performance of sole traders and small to medium size companies.
