Software Engineer
Upon the successful completion of my final year academics, I was offered the opportunity to rejoin Creative Software as a permanent employee. My primary role was to contribute to the development of the Print functionality which is a part of the e-health system DIPS Arena. The print functionality is comprised of processing & printing various formats of documents such as pdf, html, rtf, etc. along openEHR form documents and non-documents such as patient labels, bracelets etc. The content is processed in a meaningful way, which is then converted to a printable format and eventually sent to the printer. “Processing” consists of implementation under various domain specific logic. The overall print solution is comprised of various UIs to support the backend operations, libraries and APIs to expose this functionality to other teams working in Arena.Played a key role in introducing support for bulk prints of documents as a background process, surpassing the existing solution which was supporting printing one document at a time, giving users an option to print large bulks of documents as a background process.Spearheaded extensive initiatives to optimize memory utilization by leveraging several techniques and best practices. Achieved a significant enhancement, enabling a twofold increase in print capacity.Fixing Memory leaks to improve performance of the overall application.A part of the print solution was a WEB API which was deployed using docker containers. The “security champion” program, is an initiative to ensure that teams meet their security needs constantly as for countering vulnerabilities with each team having a representative. As the representative - focused on introducing better workflows and processes within the team to adhere to security requirements, while constantly seeking ways to counter detected vulnerabilities and staying up to date.Mentoring and providing numerous knowledge transfer sessions.Collaboration with cross functional teams in Norway.
