• Developed an independent Medicaid forecast to challenge agency assumptions and induce discussion on Medicaid disenrollment scenarios.• The forecast prompted legislative action, including the filing of HCR88 to appropriate pharmacy rebates excess of official agency budget assumptions into primary care reimbursement rates.• The independent forecast revealed inconsistent assumptions presented to the legislature, and inspired a formal legislative request for direct access into both claims and enrollment databases held by Department of Health for future iterations of the independent forecasting process.

• In response to the onset of Covid, I contacted the Governor’s Office and health department to provide my personal network of health system contacts to bolster pandemic response efforts. • The Governor’s Office then assigned me to create a health systems exposure report to steer and inform inter-agency Covid response.• I further defined my role by centralizing data collection and dissemination to enhance public response and message uniformity.• Initially hired by the Department of Revenue to project sales tax collection, I was asked to return to health care by Gov. Michael Dunleavy because of the reliable reputation I earned during his predecessor’s administration.

• Identified shortfalls in federal drug subsidy receipts and spearheaded procurement and contracting efforts to net $1.5M in additional funds.• Subject matter expert when procuring medical claims processors, pharmacy benefit managers, travel medicine and other contractors for AlaskaCare.• Simplified database engagement by creating an excel-based tool that translated layman search terms into the requisite database language so that extract requests by state legislators or contractors could be streamlined.• Created excel-based tools and dashboards to forecast remaining year spend and streamline routine and complex decision-making.
