Academic AdvisorUniversity Of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee Feb 2014 - Jul 2016Sarasota, FlI advise prospective, new, and current undergraduate students at a regional campus of the USF system serving primarily Manatee and Sarasota counties. I am the primary advisor for the B.A./B.S. Elementary Education and B.S. in Hospitality Management programs. I advise students on program completion and graduation, course scheduling, campus and system-wide policies, academic planning, and how to get involved on- and off-campus. I also work closely with faculty in both the College of Education and the College of Hospitality and Technology Leadership on curriculum and progression, experiential and clinical degree requirements, and student issues. Above all else, I am an advocate for students. Our Office of Student Services is a "one stop shop" for advising, admissions, financial aid, career services, veterans' services, and the Dean of Students. Advisors are cross-trained, so I may advise students in any program. I also assist in Orientation and recruitment events.
