Many projects had a high sensitivity for environmental and regulatory issues. His experience spans over forty years in construction management, project management, engineering management, and property acquisition and ownership. Experience includes key roles at BP America and Marathon Petroleum as an Engineering Manager and Projects Director for their Galveston Bay Refinery, one of the largest and most complex refineries in the world. At Galveston Bay Steve had responsibility for a department of 50 employees and 1,500 contract personnel. Prior to that he managed major projects in the pulp and paper industry for Mead Corporation’s Corporate Engineering Team. Steve is currently a Partner at Structured Group LLC, a Texas holding company for general contractors specializing in commercial and multi-family construction and renovation. He is also a Partner with NS2 Properties LLC, which acquires and manages commercial and residential properties. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and holds Certificates in Project Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Manchester in the UK. Steve is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and was a contributor to several versions of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), an ANSI standard.
