I’m a consulting solutions architect on large-scale data consolidation and system integration projects; working primarily with petroleum and mineral super-majors, and government and defence groups in mission-critical, security-focused environments.My go-to glue is Python for its longevity, popularity and support for machine learning / artificial intelligence libraries. Alongside data manipulation and process automation tasks, I use .PY for entity-extraction, image/video analysis, audio extraction, language translation, optical character recognition, geotagging … Etc!Work draws on my self-taught background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), database and systems administration using a wide array of commercial and open source tools. Underneath this is a degree in Biochemistry and its foundation in scientific method. I enjoy extensive travel for work, and thrive with both the opportunities and challenges it presents.
