I had no idea that I would end up working in senior living, and nothing in my background suggests that it would be a good fit. But now that I am at Aegis, the premier assisted living company and a true innovator in wellness and longevity, I could not feel luckier. The work I do is deeply engaging and fulfilling. Every day I am challenged to be empathic, intellectual, strategic, and innovative to meet the needs of our residents and their families, our employees, and the business.We are responsible for residents who have lived individually important lives and deserve to be celebrated and cared for when they are no longer able to live independently. I am honored to work with teams of dedicated caregivers and life enrichment and culinary associates in all of our communities, as well as their directors and general managers. The support staff at our home office is filled with individuals and teams committed to the success of our communities, from operations, nursing, accounting, and hiring, retaining, and providing for our amazing employees. I am privileged to serve on a leadership team of individuals that are wonderful people and leaders from varied backgrounds and experiences that push me to continue growing and developing. All of this while striving to live up to the vision of our CEO and founder not be satisfied and to always seek ways to better serve our residents.
