Created and implemented two ten week international service learning programs for first through third grade students in collaboration with Kid Power DC and the Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School. The first program focused on Beninese culture and children's lives and the second program focused on South African history and culture. The service learning component of each program resulted in over $600 being raised in a coin drive to support local development efforts in the respective countries. This program was part of a Peace Corps Fellowship offered by American University. It worked also within the framework of the Third Goal of the US Peace Corps which is to, "strengthen Americans' understanding about the world and its peoples."
