As “the oldest and most-cited student-edited journal of international law,” the Harvard International Law Journal covers a variety of international issues and topics in public and private international law. HILJ is considered “one of the ten most influential law journals in the world, based on research influence and impact factors,” in the Journal Citation Reports. HILJ articles have been cited in decisions by the United States Supreme Court, European Court of Justice, International Court of Justice, and World Trade Organization Dispute Panels.

• Managed team of three individuals conducting procurement processes for contractual purchases exceeding $3,500 on behalf of over 70 programs in more than 40 countries worldwide;• Managed over 70 subawards totaling over USD $1 million in assistance throughout Latin America, Europe, Eurasia, and Asia;• Advised on compliance with U.S. and foreign legislation, regulations, and grant provisions including the following: Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, 2CFR §§200, 600, and 700, and USAID and State Department-specific provisions;

• Managed grant assistance from USAID, UK DFID, US Department of State, and National Endowment for Democracy totaling over $2 million annually in assistance to Belarus;• Administered 17 subawards to local organizations to carry out programming in these three countries with impact in thousands of Bangladeshi, Bhutanese, and Lao communities;• Liaised with international and domestic partners on program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation;• Oversaw travel and scheduling for staff and delegate trips throughout over five Asian countries;• Monitored federal regulations to ensure compliance in expenditures and contractual obligations;• Drafted political updates, annual work plans, proposals, quarterly and final reports, budgets, and briefing materials

•Analyzed and evaluated the effects of uncoordinated budget cuts in Europe on critical NATO capabilities, and how the efforts at pooling and sharing efforts (esp. NORDEFCO) have addressed these capability gaps•Coordinated and edited a 30-page report for the US Mission with analyses and recommendations for US to encourage European allies to increase commitments and leadership in NATO, thus permitting an American pivot to Asia

•Examined corpus of literature on 13 weak states and classified them according to their governance logic, compiling a syllabus for a new class taught at the School of International and Public Affairs•Developed paradigm for identifying and classifying weak states based on unique logics of power, implemented this paradigm into the course syllabus in consultation with Professor Dipali Mukhopadhyay•Produced 25-page research report comparing power-sharing in Bosnia and Lebanon with recommendations for Syria

•Prepared and edited syllabus, lecture powerpoints, and teaching materials for a twelve-week course•Coordinated communication between Professor Elisabeth Lindenmayer and students•Planned and implemented six-hour conflict negotiation simulation with twenty students, two observers from the United Nations, and roles for ten countries and multilateral institutions

•Developed interviewing matrix in consultation with officers to identify desirable traits in prospective students •Led trainings for over 100 student interviewers for admissions interviews in over 10 application regions•Planned and executed 8 interviewing superday trips to high schools in the NY and New England regions•Conducted one hundred and twenty interviews of prospective students in the Classes of 2016 and 2017•Provided interpretation and visitor information for over five thousand French, Spanish, and Russian-speaking tourists•Conducted hour-long campus tours for groups up to 100 prospective students and families•Planned and staffed prospective and admitted student events like panels and admission process talks

•Interpreted simultaneous and consecutive speech for approximately 30 families during home visits by the New York City Administration for Children’s Services; as well as Spanish telephone conversations for other clients•Provided support to state-appointed therapists to these families during home visits•Sourced suppliers for interpretation assignments in over 20 languages across the NYC and the U.S.•Invoiced for over 100 language service suppliers contracted by the company•Led quality control tests with the telephone interpreting system; developed training scheme to address issues that resulted in ~75% improved satisfaction from clients

•Oversaw committee of 14 programmers to plan and execute a week-long orientation program consisting of 200 events for 1500 new students; managed and administered total budget of $600,000 for these events•Liaised with over 50 clients, administrators, professors, and staff at Columbia’s 4 undergraduate schools

•Developed annotation scheme for oral and written dialogs to enhance quality of automated calling systems, annotated hundreds of said dialogs in the Loqui (Andrew Heiskell Library; oral) and Enron (email) corpora

•Compiled case information on crimes ranging from marijuana possession to second-degree assault; researched NY state law to determine suitable charges on behalf of manager•Contacted and interviewed arresting officers and witnesses; drafted and filed formal formal screening reports and complaint forms
