About Steve Kiessling
As a PM I've led projects related to implementing telecom, IP networking, and internet services for clients, such as data center collocation, dedicated internet service, managed cloud, broadband, and more. I pull together cross-functional teams to deliver on-time results -- always updating, communicating, and documenting!Throughout 15 years in Telecom Expense Management, I brought tremendous value (and cost savings!) to many clients of all sizes spanning various industries. As an auditor I saved my clients millions of dollars both in refunds and go-forward cost avoidance -- often recommending ways to optimize their network services and adopt more cost-effective solutions. As a manager, I mentored and led my team in audit operations, kept all projects on target, and ensured that clients understood what to expect and were happy with outcomes. Prior to TEM I developed a solid background as an enterprise telecom manager, handling soup-to-nuts responsibilities – everything from hands on PBX admin and maintenance, to overall strategic planning, traffic/capacity analysis, etc. For my entire career I’ve worked with vendors on a daily basis, covering such areas as service order provisioning, troubleshooting, contract management, and of course billing. Having been "in their shoes" allowed me to better understand my TEM clients’ landscape and challenges, establishing trust and creating a real partnership.Some key accomplishments include: • Achieved millions in audit savings for dozens of small, mid-size, and Fortune 100 clients• Rescued a top-revenue client by reversing trends that did not work, improving reporting and communications, and generating new savings activity• Created a robust nationwide hub/spoke telecom network to replace a costly "single-drop-off" broadcast mechanism, resulting in increased delivery capacity and greatly reduced costs
