Computational physics researcher with 5+ years experience developing and running parallelized simulations of heavy ion collisions in 3+1D dimensions using a variety of high performance programming languages and numerical techniques, specializing in C programming. This involves 100's of CPU core-years of computational time and 100's of terabytes of data. Specifically, I study the initial condition and 3+1-dimensional dynamics of heavy ion collisions using parallelized Monte-Carlo simulations. HIC’s create Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP), the hottest and densest state of matter ever created on Earth, reaching trillions of degrees Kelvin. QGP is believed to have comprised the early Universe milliseconds after the Big Bang, and is hypothesized to exist in the interior of neutron stars.
