As a first-generation Latina from Chicago's Northside, I'm driven by a passion to create equitable economic opportunities for communities of color. My parents' journey migrating from Colombia instilled in me the importance of empowering others through accessible pathways to education and career success.In my role as Director of Career Launch Chicago with City Colleges of Chicago, I collaborate with Chicago Public Schools and local businesses to develop and implement transformative Youth Apprenticeship programs. These initiatives provide high school students with hands-on training, mentorship, and a head start on college and career pathways in high-demand fields.Alongside my professional work, I founded Rise and Thrive Latinas (RTL), a community curating experiences that uplift and support Latinas in Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Our signature RTL Book Club fosters healing conversations around family dynamics, identity, sexuality, and personal growth through the lens of books by Latina authors. RTL creates a safe space where members feel seen, heard, and empowered.With a BA in Sociology and Latinx Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida, and training through the Civic Leadership Academy at the University of Chicago, I'm committed to driving positive change. Currently, I'm honored to be part of the Mujeres de HACE Entrepreneur cohort, surrounded by brilliant Latina entrepreneurs from across the nation.My journey is fueled by a deep belief in investing in our youth and amplifying the voices and stories of the Latinx community. I'm passionate about opening doors, cultivating community, and inspiring others to rise and thrive.
