According to the CDC, more than ever, Americans have seen an increase in heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain, chronic stress, and so on. I am no stranger to these illnesses, and my family has a history of each of these illnesses. Working in a high-stress environment coupled with more stress outside of work is a recipe for disease to fester and grow. I learned this lesson the hard way and had to make a drastic change. This led me to the path I am on, working in the health and wellness industry.Health and wellness look different for everyone, but one clear thing is that quality of life depends on your overall health. There are lean and seemingly fit individuals with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and chronic disease; some overweight individuals weigh the only problem they face. As a health and wellness coach, I sit with you to help you achieve your goals to what it means to you. Partnering with you and your dreams can help you maintain your plan and make it a lifestyle! Health and Wellness Coaching is in the family of lifestyle medicine and is one of the fastest-growing professions in the healthcare industry. As I am also interested in research, I am a student at Saybrook University, a graduate school focusing on humanistic values. I am attaining a Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine focusing on Integrative Wellness Coaching and Mindfulness Applications. I am on track to achieve the NB-HWC Certification and the ICF. My ultimate goal is to work with a company, maintain a small practice, and teach coaching academically. Thank you
