Sean Griffin has more than a decade of experience working inside the Texas Capitol in various roles, including as a legislative aide, policy director, deputy chief of staff, and chief of staff for one of the most senior and long-serving senators in Texas history. In these capacities, he led policy teams and directly oversaw the passage of more than 350 individual pieces of legislation utilizing his expertise of the legislative process and his close, bipartisan relationships with legislators and their staff. He is well-versed on the state budget appropriations process, having served as an aide to a senator's budget director in his first legislative session and as the lead budget director for the senator on the Senate Finance Committee during two budget cycles, including during her membership on the powerful Legislative Budget Board. During his time in the Legislature, Sean worked on a wide and diverse array of important issues, including those in healthcare, higher education, state contracting and procurement, capital funding, economic development, local government, oil and gas, natural resources, redistricting, transportation, and others.Sean holds B.A. and B.S. degrees from Texas A&M University, an M.P.Aff. from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law. He is a member of the Texas Bar.
