Afghanistan

In 2019, I joined TCOM as an Aerostat Operator/Shift Lead during deployment to Afghanistan. I directly support flight operations through interpreting surveillance systems, operating CLAW II and JSWS work systems, and performing preventive maintenance on electronic equipment. I also supervise launches and recovery of aerostat and followed proper hazmat disposal.Select achievements from my tenure in this role:• Conducted testing and troubleshooting that identified loose fiber using exfo power meter and light source and conducted fiber fusion splice for aerostat.• Diagnosed issues with computers errors with aerostat and Ground Control System, • Quickly researched and ordered repair parts and completed repairs with high quality and within limited schedule to keep assets mission ready.• Selected to train personnel new to site in best practices and operation of key equipment including MX-20HD camera, CLAW computer software, preventative maintenance inspections on equipment, generators, forklifts, and aerial man lift.

As a Special Agent for the Army Criminal Investigation Division, I was charged with investigating felony level offenses that impacted Department of Defense (DOD) and U.S. Army. During assignment at Fort Hood, I directed a team of 15 Aviation Life Support Equipment (ASLE) Technicians in preforming daily inspections of flight equipment, personnel flight materials, and survival equipment that was issued to 130+ aircrews across 30 aircrafts.
