Chapter: Spring Rain Pvt Ltd (Software Engineer In A Cozy Workspace)Spring Rain Pvt Ltd Jun 2019 - Feb 2022Dhaka, BangladeshIt is an exciting story. I was amazed just after entering the office. It's an open space office with a Table Tennis table in one corner. My interview was short, but the interviewers asked me some advanced topics related to web development and CI/CD. I tried my best to answer all of them. I felt very excited after the interview, but I didn't know why.I got the offer about one month after the interview. Since then, I am working at Spring Rain as a full-stack software engineer. It is the best workplace I have worked at so far. I learned lots of things from the seniors here. Agile Software Development process, cloud computing, proper code review, sharing knowledge are some of them.Another thing I used to like most here was the office timing (from 08:30 am to 04:30 pm). It reduced my commute time significantly as I could avoid the peak hours. The story is still going on, and I'll finish writing when it finishes. Show less -
Chapter: Kajkey.Com (Front-End Engineer With Guidance)Kajkey.Com Jan 2019 - May 2019Dhaka, BangladeshI was looking for opportunities to grow. One of my colleagues told me that a new startup was looking for a front-end developer. So I applied for the job. After finishing my office work one day, I went for the interview. It was my first job interview where I got tested for my programming skills. The Lead of the project asked me lots of things about algorithms and front-end development. After the interview, I realized that I have to learn a lot to be a real engineer.A few days I got the job offer. I joined with three other team members. With them, we had to develop a local freelancing platform. We had to build it based on an existing platform. We had to separate the API and the front-end. As a freelancing platform, the site had to be SEO friendly. So we choose after.js (an SSR framework based on React made by Jared Palmer, the creator of Formik) as the front-end framework. We developed our backend using the Django REST framework. We also used Express, Redis, and socket.io for a minimal real-time chat application. We built the entire platform within half a year. Our team lead was a great architect and a great mentor. He taught us lots of things about software architecture and best practices. Though it was a short journey, I learned lots of things about being a great developer. Overall it was an exciting journey. Show less -
Chapter: Rapid Web Services (Software Engineer With A Twist)Rapid Web Services Jan 2018 - Jan 2019Dhaka, BangladeshI am a graduate now. I have to stand on my own feet and face the cruelty of the real world. I started to apply for a job. But I was lucky enough to get some interview calls. It was a sunny day. I started early from home for the interview. The route seemed like a maze to me (maybe for my nervousness). After few rounds on the same road, I managed to find the office. They greeted me with black tea. The interview started after waiting half an hour.I gave an interview for the position of Front-end React developer. They asked me a lot of questions related to React and JavaScript. Then I faced the ultimate front-end question: 'How to center an element horizontally and vertically?'. As far as I can remember, I provided them with two solutions.I got the offer on the same day directly from the CEO. It was like a dream come true. Though I was interviewed as a front-end developer (React), I started working as a full-stack developer. I worked on a social networking platform for businesses. The core technology was on top of the MEAN stack. Few months after I joined, all the seniors switched their jobs. So, I became the lead on the project. After working for about one year with some fresh and great minds, we released our first version. But I didn't see any way to grow my career there. So, I decided to move on to my next journey. It was my very first introduction to the cruel world. I got a glimpse of ever-changing requirements, lack of guidance, and many other things. Though it was a little bitter experience, it helps me to know the real world. Show less

Chapter: Elixeur (Birth Of A Ui/Ux Engineer)Elixeur Mar 2017 - Aug 2017Dhaka, BangladeshA long time ago, on a typical peaceful night, I was reading Facebook attentively. Suddenly I got a notification in the inbox. It was one of my friends (maybe we became friends through the freeCodeCamp group). Instead of applying himself, he thought I would be a better candidate (May Almighty give him the best reward for that). So, he arranged an interview and I went for that. I was shaking inside as it was my first job interview. But after some time, my worries went away as the interview turned into a discussion. We discussed a lot of things about front-end development and UI/UX. Everything seemed very ok and the strangest thing that happened on that day was I ended up getting the job as a UI/UX designer instead of a front-end developer.I worked at Elixeur for about six months and got my first glimpse of the corporate world. I learned a lot of things about the industry and most of all got my UI/UX foundation there. I am grateful to my Boss as he mentored me like a younger brother and all my co-workers who helped me passing my ice-breaking session in the corporate world. Show less
