Teaching, Research and Service to the University and the community external to the University (private and public sectors)

Researched and lectured in accounting and management in both undergraduate and graduate (MBA) programmes of the University. I was Head of Department of the School of Accounting and Management Studies for a total of six years and I later became the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Business in September 1997, before becoming Deputy Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration in February 1998.

As Chief Business Officer of the University, I was overseeing Financial Services including procurement; Human Resources; Information Technology; as well as Plant and Campus Services, for a period of 8 years. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, I played a major role in developing university-wide policies in the foregoing areas, and I also participated the formulation of policies in other areas that included academic and student affairs.

As founding Chief Business Officer of the University, I oversee financial services, human resources, information technology, plant and campus facilities and services. Member of the Executive Team that is establishing the new state-owned international research university of science and technology. I have responsibility for policy and systems development in the areas outlined above and to provide strategic direction in the same areas.
